Because of my tomboyish ways and my hatred for heels, I’ve always been a sneaker kind of girl. Growing up, my closet was filled with bright colored Nike Dunks and a classic white pair of Air Force 1s. Now that I’m “grown”, my chucks have been my go to sneakers. I love a good pair of kicks that I can wear anywhere with anything. But since it’s getting colder, I’ve had a hard time taking my everyday dirty chucks from Summer to Fall. So, I talked to my favorite sneaker heads about the best kicks for women to rock this fall! Checkout their recommendations below:
Jahlik Brandon, @polobrandon:
Since one of my hobbies is collecting sneakers, I love a woman with a nice shoe game but even meaner sneaker game. My top three sneakers to see on a woman this fall are: Nike Air Huarache, Nike Air Force 1 High Suede, and the Air Jordan 1.
Nike Air Huaraches are the perfect sneaker for women because the best color ways come in women’s sizes. In my opinion, I think they’re made better than the male version.
The Nike Air Force 1 High Suedes are a fall must have! Every color they have dropped so far are perfect for fall and they’re easy to pull off.
Lastly, the Air Jordan 1 is a classic sneaker that looks great all the time. I’ve seen it worn in so many different ways that you can’t go wrong with lacing up a pair. The upcoming color ways are going to be instant hits with the “Cyber Monday” release being my favorite.
All three models are priced well too, their prices range from $100-130.

Anyone who knows me, knows I don’t really go crazy for the kicks that everyone else does. All the stress that comes with liking popular sneakers (i.e. waiting on lines, waking up early to wait for an online release) is too much for me. I like to bring attention to overlooked kicks.
I’ve really been digging Nike’s Internationalist model. I just picked up a pair in maroon with orange and mint accents, and they are the perfect statement shoe when I’m rocking my signature black leggings/black t-shirt combo, adding just enough color to my outfit without making it too loud.
Tip: They actually just introduced a fleece model of these as well, and if you check out the Nike website, you’ll see you can get them in a bunch of different colorways or even customize your own!
I also just picked up a pair of Nike Payaa’s in black and they are a lace-free active model that go with just about everything, especially black leggings.
My next pickup will probably be the Nike Lunarrestoa 2, a running model that looks similar to the Roshe Run but way less played out and way cozier.
Honorable Mention:
Of course, I’ll be rocking Stans this fall as well, because you can’t go wrong with a clean pair of Stan Smiths – though I must say, my Nikes have been comfier lately. Pretty much every shoe I’m into is under $100, which makes them even more easily attainable.

Black/Gum Air force 1 Hi
For the fall, the Black Suede/ Gum AF1 Hi is just perfect. The fall colors just pop when worn with a dope flight jacket or oversized poncho. Being able to match accessories like a scarf with the gum bottom could really take an outfit over the top.
Stan Smith White/Green
I know that most look at the Stan Smith as a summer sneaker, but if executed correctly it can look really good in the fall. With the right color denim, it looks awesome because the white off sets the rest of the outfit. White sneakers in the fall is a dope and bold way to make your outfit standout.
Nike Cortez Gold/Black
To be quite honest, I’ve never really really liked the Nike Cortez but Nike definitely did their thing with this color way. The metallic gold just works really well on the Cortez silhouette. For the flashy, this shoe works really well as an eye catcher and is really dope in the fall sneaker rotation.
